Ways to the Cemetery

This project connects Mill Road Cemetery, a 200-year-old repository of Cambridge history, with the lives of local residents. Featuring nearly 3,000 graves and 10,000 stories, the cemetery offers a unique lens into the city's past. Participants, divided into regular visitors and random residents, explored personal and navigational connections. Regulars shared their daily routes to the cemetery, while residents created navigation maps, fostering new relationships with this historic space. The project aims to bridge history and community, making Mill Road Cemetery a living part of Cambridge's vibrant cultural fabric.
